The activity, on one basis
Powders in U/g and liquids in U/mL cannot be compared until density and solids are on paper. Ask for the assay, substrate, temperature and pH behind the unit, and recalculate your working-reagent dose from it.
The partner enzyme and the side activities
A glucose oxidase colour reagent depends on a second activity: peroxidase turns the hydrogen peroxide into a colour. Bulk buyers of glucose oxidase most often order catalase alongside it, which does the opposite and removes the peroxide. Ask which side activities are measured on the lot, catalase first, and write the limit into your spec.
The lot you will scale to
The 1 kg trial pack should come from the same lot as the 25 kg drums you would order. Run a control on the trial, log it against the lot number, and run it again on every new lot.
